Camera Crew & Equipment
Director of photography, camera operators, camera assistants and DIT — a camera department that shows up ready, with our own cinema package and rental partners for the rest. One contract, one VAT invoice.
One Crew, One Dream
Every member of our camera crew is selected and tested before they step onto your set — on their craft, and on their attitude. Skill gets the shot; attitude gets the day done. That's why one crew can walk into any location, at any scale, in any format.

Any environment
Studio floors, fabrication yards, mountain roads. We prep for where the camera has to go, not where it's comfortable.
HSE-inducted and in full PPE at PTSC M&C's fabrication yard in Vung Tau and the Ialy hydropower plant; filming in the Hoàng Liên Sơn range and the Himalayas of Nepal.
Any scale
One DP for a single day, or a full department for a series. You book the crew the job needs — nothing padded on top.
From a DP for one day to a Director of Photography leading eight camera operators on the reality series The Moonlight Manor (NetstarSG, 2025).
Any format
Feature film, reality series, talkshow, music video, documentary, commercial. Different rhythms, same discipline on set.
A Cycle: The Final Take, in Vietnamese cinemas in 2026; the Budweiser × FIFA Club World Cup 2025 match talkshow for Wolf House Production; CHAMLAI, singer LodD's debut music video.
Your idea, on screen
Independent directors, artists and agency creatives come to us with an idea and a budget that rarely match. Our job is to close that gap: find the camera, the lenses and the crew that put the idea on screen the way it was imagined. And when a company only needs a professional crew to capture the material, we do exactly that.
For independent directors
Phía Sau Im Lặng Là Biển, a feature film directed by Huy Lê: 9G Pictures invested in the film's camera equipment.
For artists
CHAMLAI, the debut music video of singer LodD (2025): we provided the camera crew and sponsored the camera equipment.
For agencies and production houses
Budweiser × FIFA Club World Cup 2025: we ran the camera department for Wolf House Production. We don't contact your end client, and we only publish a project once you agree.
For in-house marketing teams
Not every company needs a finished film from us. We capture the material to a professional standard — organised and backed up — and your in-house team turns it into content you'll keep using for years.
The kit the job needs — at a price that makes sense
Our own kit is built around the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K cinema camera and its professional accessories, packed and organised so setup is fast and nothing is left behind. It travels with media cards and high-speed SSDs, so your footage is backed up before we leave the set. Our SWIT PB-M98S batteries are tested to UN38.3 and cleared for air travel under IATA rules; when a job calls for it, we switch to smaller packs or other approved batteries — this kit is built for the difficult jobs too.
When the job calls for something else — another camera body, a specialist lens, lighting or grip — we get it through rental partners we've worked with across Vietnam. We know who has what and what it should cost, so you get the right kit without paying for more than you need.
On set, we find the solution
We take responsibility for solving the problem, so that turning your vision into visual storytelling runs smoothly — and the equipment is never the surprise.
The location changes at the last minute? We re-rig and move as fast as the kit allows. The lens you wanted isn't available? We propose an alternative and test it on a lens distortion chart — and because our DP also knows post-production, we can tell you how each lens will look before you commit.
Shooting abroad? For our documentary in Nepal, the PYXIS 6K kit travelled in transit through India — declared in full and cleared at every security check.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we hire a camera crew without full production?
Yes. Book a director of photography on their own, or the whole camera department with our cinema package — for a single shoot day or a whole project.
Why book through 9G instead of hiring freelancers directly?
You get one contract and one VAT invoice from a registered Vietnamese company, instead of separate agreements, payments and personal income tax paperwork for each freelancer. Every crew member is named in the quote, and if one of them can't make the shoot, we send a replacement of the same level. One company is accountable for the whole department.
What equipment is included?
Our own Blackmagic PYXIS 6K camera system, lenses and camera accessories, with media cards and high-speed SSDs for backup on set. If a shoot needs a specific camera, specialist lenses, lighting or grip, we source it from rental partners across Vietnam and build it into the quote.
How experienced is the crew?
The camera department is led by Director of Photography Trần Anh Tuấn, with fourteen years behind the camera and a feature film released in Vietnamese cinemas in 2026. Crew members have at least three to five years in their role.
Do you work with overseas productions filming in Vietnam?
Yes. The crew works in English, we sign bilingual contracts and NDAs on request, and we issue VAT invoices. We are based in Ho Chi Minh City and travel across Vietnam; travel and accommodation are itemised separately.
Do you handle filming permits?
No. We don't act as a fixer. For permits and local coordination, we connect you with partners we work with, and keep our attention on the camera department.
What happens if our schedule changes?
The terms for changing, postponing or cancelling a shoot are set out clearly in each contract, before you sign.
How much does a camera crew cost?
It depends on the roles, the number of days, the kit and any travel. Send us the dates and the format, and we'll return a named crew list and a line-itemised quote within one business day.
